LIFE: Alleged Hitman in Lil Boosie Trial Denies Murder Under Oath

From XXL: The man prosecutors say that Lil Boosie allegedly hired to kill Terry Boyd says he did not commit that murder.
Nineteen-year-old Michael “Marlo Mike” Louding took the stand Monday (May 7), day three of Boosie’s murder trial in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and denied killing Boyd, according to The Advocate. That’s after Prosecutor Dana Cummings told jurors that Louding would lie when testified.
However, Louding said on the witness stand Monday that he never even told law enforcement that he shot Boyd, adding that he was at Boosie’s house the night of the murder, according to KSLA in Louisiana. In addition, he testified that Boosie and Adrienne Pittman, who’s accused of being the getaway driver, never left the home that night. More >
LIFE: G-Dep Sentenced To 15 Years In Prison

Former Bad Boy star G-Dep was sentenced today for the murder of John Henkel 19 years ago. If you don’t remember, G-Dep turned himself in for the crime, not knowing at the time that the shot he fired ultimately killed Henkel. During preceding, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Michael Obus said the following:
“The circumstance of your being before the court now suggests to me a maturity and decency that wouldn’t have been evident at the time. It was the right thing to do, even though it landed you in the position you find yourself in now.”

In this video from PSFK CONFERENCE NYC, DJ Spooky presents a live music mash-up of his Antartica-inspired music using a violinist and a DJ using his app. In setting up the performance, the celebrated musician and artist speaks to PSFK founder and editor-in-chief Piers Fawkes about how the app has absorbed how early types of multimedia has worked (including the phonograph and kinescope) and that the app has changed the creative act more than anything because of its ubiquity.
